PersonalityExtremely affectionate and cuddly. Cockatoos love to be held, petted, and are often called "velcro birds" because they want to be with you constantly.
Noise LevelModerate to loud. Cockatoos can be vocal, especially at dawn and dusk. They need owners who can handle some noise and provide enough stimulation to prevent screaming.
SizeMedium to large (12–26 inches depending on species). They need spacious cages and plenty of room to stretch and play.
